TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE AT COUNCIL, 724-287-6791 to Register

GLACIER RIDGE DISTRICT
November - Scout University, Butler Community College

Scoutmaster & Asst. Scoutmasters... Are a group of adults who volunteer their time to work directly with boys in the
troop to provide guidance and assistance in running the program.

Troop Committee... Consists of a group of adults who volunteer their time to oversee the financial operation and policies of the Troop.  The program is run by the boys with the assistance of the Scoutmaster and his/her Assistant Scoutmasters, and the Committee supports these endeavors.

Merit Badge Counselors... Do not have to sign up to be either Troop Committee or Scoutmaster/Asst. Scoutmaster.  Merit badge counselors sign up for one year at a time to teach up to seven (7) merit badges.  This is the perfect solution to those who want to help out, but don't have a lot of extra time.  This is a small time commitment, but a job that is very important.  This does not require any special training! Download Merit Badge Counselor Form.

Troop 403 accepts applications for adult leadership all year long.  Ask for an application by contacting our Committee Chair or Scoutmaster.

*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ADULT LEADERS ***

Committee / Parent Meetings... Are held the second Tuesday of every month,
(unless otherwise announced) 7 - 8:30 p.m. at CCUPC.
