Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 403
We are based in
Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, just 20 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. Our group averages about 30 boys ages 11 to 18, and we have a large group of dedicated adult leaders who help our boys grow into fine young men. We are chartered through ,
Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church.
We are part of
Moraine Trails Council, which serves Scouters in Butler, Lawrence, Armstrong & Northern Westmoreland Counties. Scouts enjoy camping at Camp Bucoco (Boy Scouts) and Camp Agawam (Cub Scouts).
Troop 403 is very active, planning monthly outings and camping trips. We meet weekly on Monday nights at the Cranberry Community United Presbyterian Church(CCUPC) from 6:45 - 8:30 p.m. We provide teaching modules for merit badges at meetings, which provides the opportunity for every boy to earn merit badges. This also allows each boy to have an opportunity to learn how to teach, if he already has a particular badge.
We also place an emphasis on public service - one of the main pillars of Scouting - taking part in at least 6 service projects per year, which benefit a number of different organizations. This does not include Eagle Service Projects, which are in addition to regular troop service projects.
